Dyla was born from the vision of Dyla Vardar, a designer and dressmaker whose passion for creating bespoke ensembles began in her childhood. Growing up inspired by her mother and aunt, both skilled dressmakers, Dyla nurtured her love for craftsmanship from an early age. She later honed her expertise with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Textile Engineering.
A special highlight in 2010 was when Dyla’s academic articles, published in Textile Research Journal and Coloration Technology, focused on ozonation treatments in textiles, helping manufacturers improve their production lines and become more sustainable in their processes. Following this, she pursued specialised training in womenswear design at the prestigious London College of Fashion. In 2015, Dyla founded her eponymous label, which has since evolved into the Dyla brand, officially established in London in 2022.
Dyla Vardar’s capsule collections are a testament to the desires of today’s modern woman—elegant, ethereal designs that celebrate individuality and bring each wearer’s unique vision to life.Her work has gained recognition not only in the fashion world but also on television, where she participated as a design and dressmaking consultant for the BBC Studios series The Unique Boutique, with her expertise showcased in Episode 2.
Beyond her brand, Dyla’s commitment to couture and slow fashion drives her to share her knowledge with aspiring designers and creators. Through the private course Sew it with Love and her educational platform The Dressmaker Edit, set to be released later in 2025, she welcomes students from all backgrounds with constructive teaching methods that inspire creativity and achievement.
